This is my first PCP airgun, but I am experienced with rimfire and centerfire firearms, and I have a few other airguns in the collection as well. I mounted good optics on this and achieved good results. Anyone would be happy with this rifle for target shooting, plinking, pest control, or as a wall hanger.

Pros
This rifle is all steel and wood, and the wood is beautiful. The rifle is very accurate. It is solidly built and hefty. The only plastic part is the removable magazine.

Cons
The 10-round magazine is very tall and interferes with my riflescope, even with moderately tall rings. I had to install picatinny risers to get the scope to clear the magazine, but this places the line-of-sight far above the bore. I had to shim the rear sight to get it close enough to zero.

If you are on the fence, just buy one. Compared to the break barrel I had last month, this is a whole order of magnitude of improvement. It is a hard hitting consistent performer, essential for the small varminting I am using it for. I have the .22 cal version which I consider a minimum for squirrels, at least the healthy ones around here. I would be hesitant to use it on groundhogs without using heavy slugs, perfect shot placement and not exceeding 25-30 yards. A better shot than me could stretch that distance quite a bit, the rifle is capable of doing the job at the higher power levels. I've adjusted the power screw just below the 4th mark, I don't have a chrono so I am winging it here based on advice from the two main air gun forums.
My favorite slugs to use are Nielsen Specialty Ammo 24.8 Gr/ .2175 (2175-HS-HP-DB-24.8-350). These slugs cost more than pellets but are well worth it for a clean kill.
I'm using scuba tanks since I'm a certified diver and it is cost effective.

Pros
Surprising build quality, solid, very nice walnut stock, accurate, really nice trigger. Best bang for the buck in the airgun world.

Cons
It is expensive compared to powder burners, I had a real hard time justifying this much money for an air gun. I'm new to the PCP world and don't understand the exorbitant costs involved, yet it is a niche hobby and inflation does not help us. Compared to other manufacturers it is a very good deal for the quality you get, and based on many many reviews I read before purchase, I agree it is worth it. Otherwise I really can't think of anything that needs improving, except for the magazines, they seem kind of cheesy and they are expensive for what they are. It is loud, almost as loud as a .22 long rifle.

If you are up in the air about buying. Get it. You won't be disappointed.

Pros
This gun is awesome. Groups excellent with a variety of pellets. Getting 978 fps on high power with crossman 14.3 grain lead pellets. Have taken a 70 pound pig and about a dozen squirrels so far. Shooting slugs well also. FX hybrids are shooting hole in hole at 30 yards.

Cons
Need a single shot tray for testing pellets.

Rifle I received is not picky. Only pellets it doesn't shoot well are light wadcutters.

Pros
Outstanding accuracy. Shoots 25 grain slugs great! Well built. Killed a 70 pound pig a couple of days ago with 25 grain Olympia slug and six squirrels today with 14 grain crossman hollow points. Longest shot on squirrel was about 70 yards!

Cons
Only negative is no air release. Rifle has to be dry fired empty.

Barrel band is essential to me for a rifle to be used in the field. Used Sig and JSB pellets to eliminate a bunch of Richardson’s ground squirrels out and beyond 50 yds. and just received the JSB Hades that I am anxious to try. This is a rifle that is well worth the price. Foster fitting on refill port makes refilling easy from SCBA tank with no probe to keep up with. Also, Weaver/picatanny rail makes mounting a scope more secure in my opinion. Overall I would ratethis rifle with 5 stars.

Pros
Very accurate with Sig Dagger, JSB heavy, and Hades 22 pellets. Trigger barely has a first stage, but second stage can be adjusted for a light pull. Action is smooth and magazine works fine, although it seems strange the way it is inserted. Report is on the loud side, but Donny FL Sumo reduces it to what is referred to as mouse fart quiet. Shot string appears to be consistent in velocity, otherwise groups at 50 yards would not be so tight. Almost as good as my FX Wildcat II.

Cons
Baffeled barrel so extra cost of silencer would not be necessary. High rings seem to be required to clear magazine. No problem though, just raise adjustable cheek piece up to your preferred height.

This is not a regulated gun but shoots very even with the right ammo at around 2600psi. You are welcome to fill to the full 3000, but you will get a bigger power ramp if you do. 2600 pounds and shoot 48 to 50 rounds then refill. This is a great mid level rifle system

Pros
This rifle is my first PCP, but not my first pellet rifle. The fit and finish is excellent including the well made walnut stock. The block fits really snug in the stock with no wobble or shifting. The gun is extremely accurate using JSB diabolo 15.89 gr ammo. I can put a hole through both sides of a tin can at 90 yards.

Cons
This stock doesn't need sling mounts but they were installed anyway

Pros
I will be the first. With great power, great accuracy and awesome shot count comes an amazing gun. Dont hate me but I like it better than my 2 gen marauder. Pictures don't do justice for how nice this gun look.

Cons
Cocking lever tend to get snagged easily. Wish it snapped into place better.

How do you refill this rifle. I know of no air compressor capable of this range

asked Michael from USA

You have to buy a high pressure compressor. Look on Amazon to get some ideas of what you need. Or buy a high pressure tank, and take it to a scuba store to have it filled. These people should explain this before your buy a PCP gun.
