asked Tim Amanthese are some of the best air rifles for the money. I was going to get one but now they are not in stock.
asked Tim Amanwhat does this rifle weigh? Does it function well & is it reliable? What FPS are your getting out of 18 grain .22 cal pellets?
asked MarkHi, I love my scorpion .22 and it loves jsb pellets. With the jsb's I get about 850 fps, 29fps. Pellet on pellet at 50 yards if its calm. I would look for new silentium option because its so loud.
Dave
They are closer to 26 or 27 FPE not 30. Around 850-860 fps with JSB 15.9s
Nice looking gun and easy to shoulder, very nice balance.
Get around 32 accurate shots at 35 yards then the point of impact will start to drop by about 1 pellet diameter for each shot after.
Can do 1/4 inch groups at 35 yards 1/2 at 50
Pros
Looks - Black on Black synthetic stock is very nice and I usually prefer wood (walnut) Balance - not top heavy like some PCPs (ie Hatsan QE 44 long) Trigger - Nice crisp feel right out of the box
Cons
Area where where hammer strikes the valve is exposed, meanign you can see it and also pellets can be dropped into the hammer opening causing jams. They should have made that opening smaller around the hammer so pellets could not fall into it. Availability in USA. Seems to be out of stock often.
