Accuracy has been superb on both of these guns. Learn to tune for the ammo you are using. Right out of the box after sighting in groups shrank down to under 1/2" at 25 yards using FX 68gr hybrids and 81gr pellets, with the stock 1/25 twist barrel gave identical size groups. The 81gr pellets shot lower about an inch and slightly left than the 68gr slugs. One thing to note is there are only a few 35ca pellet choices compared to the smaller calibers but as with the 30's manufacturers seem to be adding new one every month. There are projectiles that are too long to fit in the FX magazine. I have found ammo from FX and JSB work fine. Before you spend your hard-earned bucks, you might as your supplier if this ammo will fit in your gun. It would be great if they listed the length and diameter of the product as Patriot does for the Javelin line.

Pros
This is my second FX Impact I bought an M3 about 3 years ago and was very impressed by its accuracy and accessories that are available for customizing these rifles, they have a great following and there are all kinds of YouTube video's for hunting and target shooting that will get you to a set up to your liking. I have the M3 set up with a 22ca slug barrel and 30 pellet and a slug barrel as well for dispatching rodents or target shooting. So now I have purchased an M4 35ca in 800mm barrel configuration, I wanted a gun set up for hunting larger game Quietly. There are many improvements with the M4 like the top scope rail is much stronger and adjustable. Barrel change is easer due to the slot behind the magazine. One less regulator to adjust making tunning easier, power block and plenum are improved, so I'm shooting 35cal slugs at the same velocity that I'm shooting 22&30cal at with a lot more down range impact. Pardon the pun. Nicer grip too.

Cons
Larger caliber means more noise, first thing I added to the 35 was a Donny Fl suppresser as the stock one is fine out in the woods but is a bit loud if you are shooting in the back yard for fun. I also added a barrel band to stiffen that very long 800mm barrel as an FX carbon fiber tensioner kit is not available at this time, something I was hoping would be available on the M4 perhaps on the M5? Most parts are interchangeable, but not all, read descriptions carefully and ask question if you are still not sure the M4 is new, and it will take some time before the aftermarket gets caught up.

I believe buying the .357 then adding barrel kits is the way to go. I am waiting for a 30 cal barrel kit to come in.

Pros
This Impact X .35 caliber is extremely accurate. I love the smoothness of the cocking leaver and the trigger is super. The Best speed for the 81 gn pellet is 840 to 850 fps. Plenty of power to take down even large game with head shots. I hope to get the 68 gn Fx hybrid slugs when they come out to see how the shoot in the X barrel. Because of winter I have not been able to get to the range and try out the Neilson 79 and 93 gn slugs. At my 25 yard range they are excellent.

Cons
When I received the Air Rifle it had a severe leak. I sent it to FX USA and they had it back to me in less then two weeks. FX service center is excellent and they deserve a 5 star rating for their service.

Dothan from USA

How long did you have to wait to receive your 35cal impact and was it worth it?

asked Tyson from USA

I bought two, one from here and one from Utahairguns. Both took about 3 months to get. I have a .25 cal Impact X and I prefer it over the .35cal. The .25 is a laser beam up to 100m right out of the box. The .35 cal is all over the place at 100m, and unlike my .25 cal (older) impact x, does not maintain tight groups once the BAR drops below 65%. Slugs seem to work better than diablo pellets but overall the .25 cal is an all day hunting/varmint rifle while the .35 cal is a niche rifle. I believe the .30 cal impact mkii is the best overall FX rifle.

Labe from USA

Can the fx impact .35 cal be converted to compact version and vise versa?

asked Craig from USA

Yes, I have a .177 barrel, a .25 barrel, and a .35 barrel for my FX Impact M3. It's just a barrel and probe swap. Takes about 2 minutes to easily swap them out.
