This multi-caliber Hatsan is the latest and greatest from Hatsan USA. The new Versi-Cal technology allows you to switch between all three calibers (sold separately) with just one stock via a single thumb screw. Every time the receiver is switched out, there is no need to re-zero the scope. Pros
Bought the hydra qe from AGD three years ago in 22cal have shot thousands of rounds through it with pellets from 14.3g to 21.8g have had zero problems with it very accurate rifle and not that loud and like other reviews I did have a problem with the bolt not wanting to easily pull back but after a few hundred rounds it slides flawlessly no complaints with this rifle at all.

Cons
I wouldn't change anything

Air Gun Depot needs better options in handling these issues with customers. And they should also be able to price match because i saw several pcp's a lot cheaper on other websites after i had placed my order. All in all... do your research before spending money on anything.

Pros
What mostly attracted me to this rifle was the ability to change to different caliber barrels. The aesthetics are very pleasing as well. I bought in .25 cal and ordered a .22 barrel from another website that had them a lot cheaper. It has good accuracy and consistency at 30 yds. I havent tried it further out yet.

Cons
The cons are both against AGD and Hatsan. When i received the rifle and i tried to fill it i immediately heard it leaking. Huge disappointment after waiting over a month to get it. AGD said to return it for a refund cause they were on backorder and didnt know when they would get more. Other option was to call Hatsan. No one there answers the phone. You have to email a service request. And theres no telling when theyll respond or when you can expect to receive your gun back. Its horrible. Lucky for me it was a loose screw causing the leak. Tightened it up and we were good to go. Shot about 250 pellets through both barrels and then the cocking lever starts to feel lose until it jams up and wont slide. After some inspecting i can see metal shavings were lever attaches to the slide. Not good. I called AGD for an exchange since i noticed they had some in stock. Waiting to receive it now. Hopefully this one doesnt come with issues. Hatsan needs more stringent quality control.

I’m going to see if I can see it in for warranty repair or replacement

Pros
Powerful when it works

Cons
Very unreliable. The magazine design is awful and rarely works right. The bolt mechanism continues to work loose. The pellets Jam most of the time.

I picked up the arrow upper from another site since it wasn't available here, which was my main reason for going with this rifle. I'm looking forward to trying it when it gets warmer

Pros
I purchased the .22 version of the Hatsan Hydra QE, and it's a very nice rifle for the price. I had to order some high profile scope mounts, 21mm / 0.8 inch from top of the dovetail rail to bottom of rings, and the magazine just does fit with about 1/16" to clear the scope. The single shot tray clips in and stays in place, and it was nice to get two rotary magazines included. After a couple of days off and on of hand pumping I was able finally shoot it and found it to be fairly accurate at 27 yards. Using the sound meter on my phone I was showing about 90 - 92 decibels.

Cons
I like the walnut stock, but the laser engraving for the grip areas looks a bit over done, no real consistency in the checkering of grip areas, but it works. I'll probably do some actual checkering on it when i get time. It was louder than I was expecting, but at 90 decibels it's still not bad.

How do I degas the Hydra QE

asked CARL from USA

What's the secret to cooking the Hydra, this is my exchange. Just like the first one, almost impossible to cock. Hatsan said adjust the hammer spring screw, it was missing just like the first. Hatsan said hammer spring 50 pounds, that's how all their guns have extra power. All the videos show using 1finger.

asked William from USA

Is it deliverable to india?

asked Rejoyson from India

For dome reason I can't fill gun with air. Is there any tips? Maybe jm doing something wrong, could u help me please thanks

asked Andrew from USA

For the Hatsan Hydra QE which first barrel and a second barrel to get, so is the best to get a 4.5mm or 5.5mm or the 6.35mm?

asked George from United Kingdom

Can this rifle be regulated

asked Thomas from USA

where can i get 177 magazines and a single shot tray?

asked Desmond from USA

I just received my Hatsan Hydra .25 caliber rifle. I don't see any way of degassing it, I have read that we should leave some air in the rifle to keep the seals seated, My question is How much air can I leave in it, The maximum air pressure is 2900 lbs, Can you leave it at that pressure and if so, for how long. Thank you..

asked David from USA

yes leave it in better for the seals

william from USA

can you get barrel and arrows for the hatsan hydra

asked Carlton from USA

Can you fill the tank with a battery compressor

asked Tony from USA

4500 psi compressor only

william from USA

Does it come with a fill probe? Also what would be the best way to fill the tank?

asked Cody from USA

It does come with one, threaded in 8mm, so I had to also order a quick connect nipple to connect to my hand pump. A PCP hand pump probably is the cheapest way to fill it. You can check with your local scuba shops to see if they sell or fill tanks, or look into a pcp compressor that can pump up to 300 bar (4500 psi). The rifle can be shot between 100 and 200 bar (1450 - 2900 psi).

Darren from USA

what would be a good scope and rings for this gun

asked John from USA

The ones I bought were High profile, 21mm(0.8 inch) from top of the dovetail rail to bottom of rings. The magazines just do fit under the scope with about 1/16" clearance.

Darren from USA

Look at the lepers/UTG line . Athlon. MTC and Elements scopes.

Mark from USA
