If you're looking for a PCP that you can take into the field, without hauling a pump or tank...then look no further. The Seneca Aspen is a multi-pump PCP that means you technically can stay out all day and night. Obviously you will be able to fill it with a tank or hand pump, up to 3600 psi (250 BAR). This on-board filling system will give you approximately 17 shots with 40 to 60 pumps, requiring only 28 lbs of effort per pump. The rifle includes one multi-shot magazine. The Aspen features a two-stage adjustment, allowing one to control the power of each shot. You'll be able to go from full power knock down to minimum target practice with the turn of the dial. This version does NOT include a scope

Pros
Service was awesome at Airgun Depot

Cons
Leaked the day I received. Returned immediately. This seems to be an ongoing problem.

DO NOT BUY. The pumps on these always break. I've put maybe 200 rounds through 3 different guns. The pumps keep breaking. Thought they had it fixed but it keeps happening. Sucks because if it didnt break it'd be 5 stars all the way.

Pros
Looks awesome, great concept

Cons
Constantly breaks

Nice alternative for you SHTF folks. When an EMP takes out our compressors and we are all too old to use hand pumps we can still get our spouse to operate this one for us.. Love the full auto mode. Oh, wait, that's my Hatsan Blitz - never mind. CON- No Full Auto!

Pros
Reminds me of the 5mm Sheridan Silver Streak I have been shooting for the past 54 years, although I am not sure whether this gun, or I, will make it through the 54 year long comparison test. We'll see. The sight is missing from my Sheridan but I can still take birds on the wing with it. Haven't lost the sight for this one yet, so I will update this review when I do and then try to shoot some birds.

Cons
Comes with the funniest airgun video ever (or dumbest, hard to tell. Click above and watch, you decide.)

For me it’s like having a super powerful pump gun. If I pump it to around 3100 and pump five or six times between every 2-3 shots it will consistently put pellets through the same hole at 50 yards. It is so quiet and powerful for the price I couldn’t be happier. Don’t overuse the pump and it is a blast. The picture is out of the box as I was setting it up

Pros
I can’t believe the accuracy of it!! It pumps easily and if you use it as a pump gun after the initial fill it is a great package

Cons
I would like to see a better stock but it’s livable

Buyer beware! Too bad, I could have written a sterling review and bragged about the increase in the size of my bicep.

Pros
I could ramble on for awhile about all the positives re: this rifle, while it works! Yet!! But!!

Cons
If something goes wrong-fagettaboutit. Customer service is a figment of your imagination. I was informed that mine was a common problem-see picture. My request for a manual so I could try to repair it and parts to repair it, is floating around in some cloud. It has been suggested that I send it back for repairing this common problem. Wonder how I should wrap it? They’re great about automated replies-oh, we haven’t heard from you so must mean you’re satisfied so we’re closing the file. I cannot close the handle. Less than 500 pellets spit out, oiled.

I only received this today and have already put around 50 rounds through it. It is very easy to handle, looks good and has almost no recoil. The trigger is very crisp with almost no movement at all. It breaks cleanly and is very light pull. I am lucky the mags did not work, this is an ammunition burner if there was ever one. It was hard to stop myself. The pump is very easy to operate, even easier to pump than my old crosman pumpmaster. This is a winner!

Pros
very quiet, nice weight, easy to carry, easy to pump great trigger operation

Cons
neither magazine worked, have to use adapter to mount my scope. My scope is made for 11mm dovetail which is what this is supposed to be but is smaller

This gun is awesome! I've been shooting pellet rifles for 60 years and the Aspen is the best I've ever owned. I'm consistently shooting 1/4" 5 shot groups at 25 yards, shot a 3/8" 5 shot group at 50 yards, and a 5/8" 3 shot group 80 yards shooting a JSB 18.13 Jumbo Heavy on high averaging 860 ft/sec. At the same hammer spring setting and at 25 yards and less, the Crosman Premier hollow point 14.3 gr pellets on low power hit about 1/4" below the JSB Heavy's shot on high power.
I shoot lighter pellets on low power and get great groups with them at 25 yards or less. The only pellet I've found that won't shoot accurately is the Crosman Destroyer. Lighter pellets like the JSB 13.4 gr and the Crosman Hollow Point 14.3 gr also give me 1/4" 5 shot groups at 25 yards averaging 763 ft/sec and 740 ft/sec respectively.
I'm 71 years old and if I can pump this gun up, so can you. I also use a hand pump and the fill probe to start a shooting session then use the on-board pump during session.

Pros
1. Accuracy is an order of magnitude above my 5 springers. Only my Weihrauch HW77 .177 Cal. underlever comes anywhere near the Aspen's accuracy. 2. The Aspen with it's on-board pump gets you into PCP's without all the expensive accessories needed to support it. 3. The trigger is really great and adjustable to a very light pull.

Cons
I bought one in .22 and after 2-1/2 months the pump began to leak. Sent it Air Venturi for warranty repair ($52 shipping). The pump as replaced with a second generation pump, I think, and was done in 5 weeks. After 3 months shooting, no sign of pump failure. Bought a second Aspen from Airgun Depot and after 1 month the pump gave me a minor problem (I didn't want it to turn into a pump failure after passing the 60 day return policy). Also, the pump handle locking mechanism would not stay locked causing me to drop the butt several times while carrying the gun by that handle. Sent the 2nd gun back for a full refund and Airgun Depot paid the shipping back and refunded my money (Good job Airgun Depot). These are the reasons I did not give the Aspen 5 stars. It is my hope that the new pump in the Aspen I kept will hold up as this is a great gun.

The lever pump is a nice idea, but has not proven to be reliable for me. I wish I had purchased a simple rifle and external hand pump because replacing a hand pump is much easier than having the built in lever pump repaired.

Pros
This air rifle can be very accurate and fun to shoot

Cons
The lever pump can be difficult to use and the port for charging with an external pump is not easy to access. My rifle started leaking down slowly after 4 months of regular use (after about 500 shots)

Mark from USA

asked don from USA

20-for-$20 Mount/Zero Scope! | $20.00. The gun has to be shipped in a hard case.It will not fit in the factory shipping box. A hard case will add $39.99 to the service charge.

Mark from USA

What slugs would work well in this rifle?

asked John from USA

The aspen is a bit underpowered for slugs. a 16-18 grain pellet in 22 cal is about as heavy as you can shoot well.

Mark from USA

Has anyone used the FX 22cal sluges in this rifle?

asked Garry E Hollis

What is your recommendation regarding .22 versus .25?

asked John Michael from USA

I have the .25, the pump is not as good as I would like it to be. After a couple pumping sessions you can get enough air in it to shoot a magazine. I like the gun, the pump not so much. Bigger is always better if you are hunting. FX slugs work well in it.

Colin from USA

Question about consistent performance. Does it seem doable with this Aspen to find a light pellet like the GTO to use Low Power and a JSB Jumbo at 25 gr to shoot at High Power in order to get close to the same velocities? Looking to keep scope zeroing to a minimum.

asked Lon from USA

Is the muzzle break threaded for a moderator? Everyone says it's quiet, but it's rated a 3-medium. Thanks

asked Casey from USA

Having pump problems with this gun. It's getting jammed and you cant pump it. I bought this about 3 weeks ago. I was able to shoot maybe 300 rounds thru it but now it has this issue.

asked Dan from USA

I've had 3 nova-freedoms so far over the past year and I've yet to find one that's the total package. One lost air overnight, one wouldn't pump up any more after a good break in period, the last one had saw Mark's on end of barrel & I had to crown it myself ! For another $20.00 in manufacturing costs & $50.00 in consumer cost ,they could have had the market cornered & a reliable, trustworthy, piece of mind to rely on. Not a novelty, iffy, maybe it'll be o.k. airgun! I really wanted this to be my truck varmint gun,but no! I still have to drag my pump & M.rod. with me.love it,just wanted to downsize!

asked Ti m.j

What adapter or fitting do I need to be able to use my craftsman air compressor to fill this gun up? Currently the quick disconnect on my compressor is too large to reach the fill port. The probe that came with the gun fits snug into it but will not lock.

asked Carl
