Great gun shoots perfect out of the box. Trigger needs some work but will get it straightened out
This gun is proof that the Chinese are getting better at making airguns every day. This gun is almost all wood and steel construction. The only plastic visible is the trigger guard and the front sight. My 60 yo 20/30 eyes were able to keep half inch 5 shot groups, from a fifty foot seated position, right out of the box. There was no test target, but it was zeroed too.
It is a stiff pumping at first, but it seems to get easier quickly
Ignore the dope who posted a review touting the virtues of his Sheridan, and how a Chinese gun would never have any collector's value. Uninformed, stupid opinions do not count. By his own admission, HE NEVER BOUGHT IT, OWNED IT OR SO MUCH AS FIRED A SINGLE SHOT THROUGH IT. He fails to mention that his Silver Streak took a very long time to become collectible, and I'd bet he had to pump a fair amount of money restoring it to get it that way.
With regard to Chinese collectible guns, just look at the price of the Type 56 SKS over the past couple of years. Clearly, I found this ignorant review annoying. I suspect Chinese guns are not the only thing he's bigoted over. I'm surprised Airgun Depot posted it at all.
If you want a fun accurate pump gun that is built well, buy it.
Pros
Well made, light, accurate. Seems as if it will last a long time.
Cons
A little pricey, but I waited and got it on sale just before Xmas.
Friend has one and I tried it once, seems like a pretty solid piece. At this price range, it’s a fair buy.
Also, @oats comment; Sam Young, the company is South Korean, not China. South Korean has decent quality standards for their products.
Recently bought this gun in .177 and I am VERY impressed. It shoots one hole groups with several of the JSB EXACT pellets ( 7.3, 8.4, and especially the 10.3 ) and also the Crossman Premier 7.4. It outshoots both of my Benjamins by a mile! Crossman should take note that it is all steel (except trigger guard and front sight) and has a great stock and workmanship that far exceeds its price tag. It is a solid and well built piece of air gun craftmanship that is by far the best example of pump gun art out there on the market today. I also have a new 392 and frankly it is a big disappointment compared to the Dragonfly. It is too bad that we can not seem to make a pump air gun of this quality in the good old USA. I am so impressed that I am going to purchase another one in .22 caliber ! On top of everything else it also can be shot from the single shot tray or from the rotary magazine. They have covered all the bases. In my opinion this is the best pump out there and if it has good product support and is backed by the manufacturer (which is still a question to be determined) it will be the new yardstick that any new pumps will be judged by. It could be a new Classic.
Pros
Built solid, all steel, GREAT stock, good trigger, accurate, shoots hard, feels like a more expensive gun than the cost.
Cons
It does pump hard at the last few pumps but as it gets broken in it is getting better. If they shortened the back stock and lengthened the pump handle (which is easily possible) it would pump easier.
I liked everything about the gun except I could not get a consistent pellet grouping from one use to the next and that was using a good scope.
Although i don't own this rifle i can still put my two scents in (opinions still count ). Recently i bought a Sheridan Silver Streak in need of some TLC , and cost twice the money . Now restored and looking as good the day it came out ( at least to me ). Anyway i would be hard pressed to buy anything out of China because they could never be classified as a classic like the Benjamins or Sheridans or even the older Daisy 880 s that were mostly metal. Its sad that China has came out with an 880 clone thats 95% plastic and that some say accuracy has suffered. My Silver Streak doesn't have a fancy magazine but i don't care because it is a piece of history when the U.S.A. was producing some classic airguns that China just can't match ( i guess those days are gone ). I own the 77xs talk about plastic city , on a positive note it seems pretty durable ( so far ). If your into tinkering there are still some nice vintage airguns available I'm not sorry i bought my Sheridan , might even add a Blue Streak to the collection who knows ?

asked Julian from USAWhere is the dragonfly made?

Just buy it already.
Pros
Well made pump up rifle, fills a big gap in the market. Has flat head piston, felt wiper, 11mm rail, magazine, pin probe. Basically it doesn't require any modification unlike other brands.
Cons
Could use a quality moderator.
