Seneca Sumatra 2500 Carbine

53 grain bullet at 830 FPS for over 80 FPE. Very nice quality rotary magazine with no springs that will last forever. Best PCP rifle I own and I own a lot of PCP rifles and pistols.

Pros
Best PCP rifle design ever. The metal cylinder makes this rifle design vastly superior to all my rifles that use cheap plastic clips. It was a huge mistake for Seneca to discontinue this rifle design. It should have been scaled up to a .357 carbine of similar length.

Cons
NOTHING

It only had a few minor flaws. The directions kinda suck. I could not get it to keep the air in when I filled it up. Using my hand pump and having all the air bleed out pissed me off. You have to hold it with the barrel to the ground and hit the butt with your hand while you quickly bleed the air off your pump. I had it charged and it would not fire, I couldn't figure out how to bleed the air off the gun to work on it. You have to wiggle the pressure regulator on the bottom of the forearm grip. I had to go to YouTube to figure it out and there are not many videos in English.

Pros
Light, quick shooting, powerful and accurate. Along with pretty short even with a 10" moderator.

AirGun Depot did a test matching the pellet to the rifle. I saw the results and bought the rifle. No way in the world disappointed with the decision. It is loud. But very accurate and powerful. I have done shot at 100 yards with ease on high ower. The ridan and HN Humters act. The Hunter's Supply slugs are great but do not group quite as tight. I matched it to a UTG 3X9 scope and it is dead on up from 25 to 65 yards. At 70 yards starts to drop.. Souther Air gunner hit coke cans at 135 yards. I don't have that much room.
But it and never look back. Well worththe cost. The carbine is great for brushy woods, otherwise get the rifle.Get about 12 very accurate shot before falling off (dropping) a bit.

Great gun! Short and accurate. Cheap but excellent quality. Capable of dime sized groups at 50 - 75 yards depending on wind. This is simply one of the best deals for the money. I can get 32 ft lbs energy using Eun Jin 16.1 gr pellets. Accuracy is one hole out to 25 - 35 yards, and only opens slightly beyond that! It will chronograph up to 1350 fps with extremely light 4.0 gr alloy pellets, but accuracy is not great at that speed. All pellets except alloy shot extremely well if velocity was kept below about 1080 fps. Some had to have velocity reduced to below 900 fps to shoot accurately. Generally, if they are pure lead and/or thin skirts you have to go below 900 or even 800 fps to get good accuracy. If they are harder lead alloy or have thick skirts they can go around 1000 - 1100 fps accurately.

This gun is beautiful, light, handles like a dream, fires 6 shots as fast as you can work the lever and pull the trigger, and in general does every thing you would want from a gun costing 2 - 3 times it's price.

My only criticisms are the rear sights, which sit way to low, and the aperture is way to small. Had to drill mine out to make it marginally useful. Also, the trigger, though adjustable only goes down to about 3 pounds, and I like 1.5 - 2 lbs.

Less than desirable rear sights and trigger pull. Drill rear sight apertures out to make marginally useful. And it may be possible to replace the trigger adjustment screw with a longer one to get a lighter pull?
