FX Wildcat MKII, Synthetic

The modern standard as to what an airgun bullpup should be!
  • Code: AGD-42108074 · .22 · 890 fps
Out of Stock
The FX Wildcat MKII is the second generation of the first truly full bullpup built by FX from the ground up. Meaning it wasn’t based on an existing breech system that was converted to a bullpup design, but rather designed and engineered to specifically be a bullpup rifle. The FX Wildcat MKII synthetic delivers a compact, high power, and high accuracy bullpup. Featuring a completely redesigned magazine system for FX, gone are the tricky to load rotary mags, and in their place is a simple 8 round magazine that clicks into place in the breech with two spring-loaded ball bearings on either side of the magazine. The all new Wildcat MKII valve delivers consistent and regulated shots due to the internal regulator. With a full fill of the 230cc, non-removable aluminum air cylinder expect to get approximately 60 full power shots thanks to the regulator (300cc air cylinder in .25 caliber, achieving approximately 50 full power shots). The two-stage match trigger is simply one of the best around. You'd expect triggers like this only on high-end competition grade 10m rifles! It's set at 15oz from the factory and is fully adjustable to tune to your liking. This FX Wildcat air rifle comes in a soft touch coated synthetic ambidextrous stock. It weighs in at just 6 lbs in .22 cal and 6.5 lbs in .25 cal due to the longer barrel and larger air cylinder. FX spent a lot of time on the finish to the rest of the gun providing a true fingerprint resistant finish. The cocking lever is in a forward position right above the trigger on the right-hand side to provide easy cocking without the need to break your cheek weld and sight line. The actuation is incredibly smooth and the joy of cocking and firing the gun are only superseded by the accuracy. Like all modern FX air rifles, the FX Wildcat MKII Synthetic features the FX Smooth Twist Barrel Liner. A barrel that is truly innovative, completely rethinking how a barrel can be made. All of this combined clearly shows an exceptional quality and value for an air rifle that will excite the bullpup and tactical fan, while also performing as a full-length gun for the more traditional shooter. Pictures include the .25 cal (long barrel), .22 cal (short barrel), and .30 cal (long barrel with moderator)

I had to rate this with four stars because when I received my wildcat it would not cock. I did not want to mess with it due to the warranty. I wish the Quality control would’ve caught it before it shipped out it would’ve saved a lot of time and a lot of headache on my part. You pay a lot for these guns they should be perfect when you receive them. So I sent it back to FX America and they fixed it in a timely matter. I thank FX America for that! The fit and finish is outstanding. I was able to get out and shoot it for the first time today to 50 yards which the groups were awesome. I want to get it out to 75 and 100 but have to wait till the wind dies down. I will do a review on YouTube at my channel air gun Hunter soon. Thank you FX, Rick Herron

Pros
Fit and finish

Cons
Would not cock when I received it.

I ordered the 30 caliber.... absolutely love how the stock feels, and the trigger is great. The gun screams of quality. This gun has the smooth twist X barrel , a full 27.5” long and the AMP regulator..... it should be extremely adjustable. However, the gun came with no instructions, or even MENTIONED the AMP regulator... right now it shoots accurately at 65 ftlbs. As a hunter, I’d like to bump this power level a bit, but without some guidance.....

Pros
Light, smooth, accurate, and quiet with the FX/Donnyfl moderator

Cons
Need some better instructions... power level a little low from the factory

I am very impressed. Slapped a scope on my Wildcat .30 and made a trip to the range today. I had a couple issues ( magazine not indexing everytime and extremely tight) but it shot great. Sighted in at 50 yards, i fought a cross wind but it shot great. After several 50 yd groups i brought it in to 25 yds (1/2 high) all shot off bags and all 3 shot groups. Had one flyer top right , it was all me lol. I am stoked

Pros
It shoots great,

Cons
Only comes with 1 magazine and it is extremely tight fitting. Hoping it will get better with a little nore shooting.

I HAVE A FX WILDCAT MK1 AND JUST RECIEVED MY FX WILDCAT MK11. I DIDN'T THINK THE MK1 COULD BE IMPROVED UPON, BUT WOW THE SUBTLE DIFFERENCES ARE AMAZING. WHAT A MAGNIFICENT PIECE OF MACHINERY. MUCH LIKE A SWISS JEWELED WATCH.PUT 5 PELLETS UNDER A DIME AT 50 YARDS BENCH REST. I AM WELL SATISFIED WITH THE MK2. THE ASCOPE THAT CAME WITH PACKAGE DEAL (A HAWKE VANTAGE IR) HAS CLARITY RIVALING MY EXPENSIVE NIKONS AND LEUPOLD SCOPES. I AM VERY PLEASED WITH BOTH UNITS ALTHOUGH THE SCOPE RING WERE TOO BIG AND HAD TO BE CHANGED OUT.

Pros
GREAT PACKAGE DEAL I LIKE MY MK11 MORE THEN MY MK1 ALREADY.

Cons
OTHER THEN WRONG SCOPE MOUNTS THERE ARE NO CONS

This is the most unexpected and amazing rifles FX has produced yet, While it lacks the "adjustability" of the IMPACT, and the PRICE, what an amazing piece of kit. The compact .22, I received, prefers the JSB 15.9 Jumbos. Barrel prep accomplished the first 10 shots delivered and average of 921 fps and an Sd of 2.1. This is a true 28 ft lb machine, that handles almost like a pistol. The book says it weighs 6.1, sans scope, but it feels much lighter. The JSB 18.1s barely make 880 fps. ChairGun program by Hawke indicated the 18.3 s are delivering 30 ft lbs at the muzzle but the speed looses the power battle at distance, to the faster 15.9 making 921 fps. All the "good things" of the IMPACT, except adjustability, but if you just want to shoot and not "experiment" this is the ticket! For the price difference of the IMPACT you can get a very, very nice piece of glass and THOUSANDS of pellets! I got the Donny FL Tatsu moderator and it is "indoor" quite, really. When shooting there is a little "spring" sound in your right ear and the the thwack of the pellet impacting the target. I you are observing the shooter there is just a tiny whoosh and a very much louder target impact noise, with this moderator the rifle is "movie silencer" quite, only even quieter !

Pros
Accuracy, handling characteristics, and very compact!

Cons
Need more MAGs!!!

Simply put this gun is amazing. The fit and finish is second to none. The 2 stage trigger is so good it isn't comparable to anything I've ever fired. The accuracy at 25yds is pellet on pellet, literally 8 shots leave one .22 cal. hole. it is super light weight and will balance perfectly on one finger at the trigger guard. it isn't top heavy or bottom heavy its just perfect and very ergonomic. The cocking lever is effortless and silky smooth. The magazine is very easy to load and insert. The gun does have some minor cons but overall I'm very pleased and couldn't be happier.

Pros
1- unreal accuracy 2- superb trigger 3- easy loading 4- lightweight 5- well balanced 6- high shot count 7- ergonomic

Cons
1-VERY LOUD, moderator extensions are a must to be backyard friendly 2- only comes with one magazine 3- dovetail scope mount 4- no lower piccatinny rail for bipod

I love the gun, which will literally stack pellets on top of each other at 25 yards. With two moderator sections it is fine for backyard use, and really packs a punch. The scope is a good match. I could not get the first rifle to take a full charge, leaking around 150 bar. I later saw this exact issue being discussed in Airgun Nation. The edge of the charging hole was a bit sharp and I felt it was damaging the probe O rings slightly. Airgun depot was good about the return and sending a second rifle. I ordered a second fill probe adapter, and they sent a new fill probe with the second gun. It is taking a full charge. Note: the probe adapter needs to be really cranked down on the probe using two wrenches and around 3/16 of an inch of threads. Maybe a bit more, even. It is hard for me, and probably many others, to feel like you are overtightening on a gasket. Our dads taught us not to do that! But the delrin ring needs a fair amount of compression to prevent air bypass. My first ring may have gotten misaligned and eventually became part of the problem, as I tried over a period of a few days to stop the air leak by cranking the probe adapter progressively tighter.

Pros
Generally great fit and finish. Great look, balance, hits hard and is my most accurate air rifle. It is also quiet with the moderator sections.

Cons
Sharp edge on probe hole seems inadvisable. Would be good to provide more information than “wrench tight” on attaching probe adapter to fill probe.

So, this air rifle needs the FX fill probe which, when attached, becomes a quick-connect fitting? This air rifle comes with the FX Smooth Twist Barrel liner, ready to shoot, and if needed can be replaced with the smooth twist X barre liner, correct?
