I would say this gun is an okay step above springers but nothing like the Gamo Whisper.
I only use this for scaring off (sometimes killing pigeon's) but mostly for dealing with small pest birds.
If the piston did not rattle the gun (and hunter like you were shotting a 410 with birdshot) I would give the gun a better review.
The gun nor the review should be reflected on Airgun Depot, the gun it's self could be made better in my opinion, and I would like to see it throw heaver pellets.
To be honest I would not buy this gun if you could save up some more money and buy a better gun for your money.
Pros
Nice pellet gun for the price, made well and is heaver then most springers and gas pistons.
I like that you get both a scope and iron sites. Being a .177 It is a nice can buster or if you need some pest birds taken care of. But not a gun for hunting.
Cons
To be frank the gun is overpowered, trying to shoot this this you need to hold on because when you pull the trigger the piston is going to smash the front side of that gun hard.
In turn the gun jumps around in your hands a LOT and with all that movement the pellet goes off of target.
I tried 2 different types of ammo in this, the H&N Excite Econ II (7.4gr) and Crosman Premier Ultra Magnum (10.5gr)
I thought with all the power backing this gun up a heaver pellet would do better, but it does not.
The 7.4 grouped really well at 20 yards but the 10.5 did not, I think if I really wanted to, I could make the 10.5 group better by tuning the gun to the pellet but the 7.4gr is really all I need to take care of pest birds.
Cocking effort is 34 lbs.,+ at 46 " length large people friendly Not for kids. I like it !
Pros
A lot of features for the price : fiber optic sights, grooved receiver for mounting included 4x32 lightweight very clear budget scope + rings. Weather proof synthetic stock w/ grooved forend + pistol grip . Nice TNT Nitro Piston : no twang, hard hitting. A little loud . Decent rubber butt pad. Decent plinker /hunter small game like squirrel or small rodents . Umarex warranty , What more can you ask ?
Cons
Only available in 177 .
This reminds me of a poor mans Walther Parrus. Whoever designed this put some thought into it with features you'd expect in a more expensive gun. Umarex warranty to boot. A 22 version would be nice.
Pros
Adjustable fiber optic sights [ hooded red front / green rear] ,durable, man sized ergonomic grooved stock , matte finished metal , nice textured rubber butt pad w /storage compartment inside stock. Large handed folks will appreciate. Powerful ,smooth + tight lock up . A little loud but not overly so, should settle down in time. The included 4x32 scope is very clear+ light with steel mounts . Good plinker / hunter: rats, squirrels maybe a rabbit within 10-15 yards.
Cons
Rear sight needs small Phillip's head screwdriver to adjust for windage . At almost 4 feet long plus a stout 34 pound cocking effort, i do not recommend this for small slightly built people .
